I never set out to sell furniture. In February 2019, I started a website to help Montreal artists sell their work online and save on supplies by ordering together. One year later, the pandemic hit, and I had a warehouse full of oil paintings. That's when I realized that my regular office chair, which had become my all-day-chair, was causing me serious back and hip pain.

Tapping my contacts from sourcing art materials, I found a key manufacturer of high-end office chairs that supplies major American brands. When I first sat down, I was shocked! I felt instant relief from both my back and hip pain. That's when Shand Ergonomics was born.

Since I first sat in my new chair those years ago, my mission been clear: to get you the most comfortable products on the market — at wholesale prices. If we help you sit through your workday, then we've done our job!
